Setting a Network Policy
Published on December 11, 2005 By sixshot In
Those who actively use P2P networks such as BitTorrent may have noticed news getting around of the banning of BitComet, one of the handful of popular BitTorrent clients out there. But now it seems the way BitComet functions has gotten a lot of criticisms over how it handles the Private flag on torrent files. And because of how it mishandles this flag, the community is stepping up to ban BitComet on a variety of community and private trackers. Now the news has gone global in the world of nerd and tech news where sites like SlashDot makes mention on its front page. Could this be the end of BitComet as a reliable client or will the developer(s) fix the problem that has now tainted BitComet's already stained reputation?
